There is no figure more closely associated with the medieval history of Echternach than the Anglo-Saxon missionary Willibrord (658-739).

The publication of his book ‘Willibrord between Ireland, Britain and Merovingian Francia (690-739). Beyond Mission’, which will be published by Liverpool University Press in October 2024, Dr Michel Summer (Heidelberg) will give a lecture on his research on Willibrord at the Trifolion and then discuss the book with Prof. em. Dáibhí ó Cróinín (Galway).

The event will be held in Luxembourgish and English, translation will be provided.
